The plasma swirl ring is to control and swirl the gas/air around the electrode and into the nozzle to control the arc point on the electrode. The swirl rings are not normally interchangeable between different brands and size of torches. Ensure you choose the correct swirl rings for your cutting application, torch and thickness.
